The government of the Sverdlovsk region recently reported that it has prioritized 11 targets in its special economic zones and industrial parks.
The Ministry of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk region chose the 11 targets at the end of 2014. Officials anticipate reaching their economic goals by the end of the year.
One of the officials' priorities is to attract residents while improving and implementing various projects in several industrial parks, including Tagil Sinarsky, Berezovsky and PRO-BUSINESS PARK. The Monocities Development Fund seeks to raise government financing for further construction of the park’s infrastructure.
Officials also hope to increase the business capacity of Zarechny’s industrial park, which already contains eight small and medium-sized businesses. Expanding this park would improve its materials production rates.
Other improvement and implementation plans are scheduled to occur in Novosverdlovsky, Iset, Muranitny and Novouralsk industrial parks within the Sverdlovsk region.
Constructing the industrial parks has cost over $1 million (US). Additional government grants in excess of $1 million are expected to be approved this month to promote the industrial parks.
