MIGMO student wins Foundation Chodieva contest

A. Melkina, a fourth-year student at the Moscow State Institute of Internal Relations (MGIMO), recently won the Foundation Chodieva contest.

The contest's topic was international relations between Russia and Japan with the theme of Perception of Russia and Russians Japanese: Past and Present. 

The International Fund Chodieva invited both undergraduate as well as graduate students of the Japanese language at MGIMO to compete in the contest.

Competitors were scored based on their test results.

Melkina is in her fourth year at MGIMO. As part of the contest, she won a $15,000 grant to further her  international relations studies in Japan.

Fattah Kayumovich Shodiev, the president of the Foundation Chodieva, made the final decision to give Melkina the scholarship grant.

One of the main organizers was A. Panov, the head of the Department of Diplomacy at MGIMO.
