UBRD launches online airline ticket service

The Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRD) recently launched its new online airline ticketing system.

Now customers can save time and visit the UBRD website to purchase and book tickets for scheduled charter or low-cost flights.

UBRD, with the goal of increasing its customer base, has made it a priority to improve and expand its remote-service options.

The bank hopes that such traveling customers also will be interested in credit cards, service packages, deposits and consumer loans.

The bank also plans to use these new service options as a way to analyze customer behavior for future advertising and product offers.

"We have repeatedly said that the bank is now becoming a financial supermarket, where customers can purchase any product from an ordinary debit card...including the purchase of tickets,” Anton Dmitriev, head of client services at UBRD, said. “All of the innovations in remote-services UBRD are intended primarily to simplify and save time for our clients.”

Go2See.ru, an online travel agency based in St. Petersburg, has collaborated with UBRD on the online ticketing services.

"Due to changes in consumption patterns in travel industry services, users are increasingly involved in the selection of independent travel packages, which include travel tickets, hotels, insurance, etc.,” Vyacheslav Fedorov, commercial director of Go2See, said. “We are confident that the joint efforts with the Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development will enable us to provide quality and convenient online service for customers.”
