The Russian Housing Development Foundation (RHDF) said Dec. 24 that a plant to aid in the construction of large-panel housing has opened in Ulyanovsk.
The opening ceremony for the plant on a RHDF-owned plot was attended by several Russian Federation officials, including Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Mikhail Men and Governor Sergey Morozov.
"Launching of the modern enterprise of such capacity is a significant milestone for the construction industry," Men said. ""This is a comprehensive work: integrated development of the territory with its own production facilities."
The plant will be a critical part of the regional government's plans in building low-income housing under the federation-wide Housing for the Russian Family program.
Developing the construction industry, specifically the manufacture of the materials used to build housing is a major priority for the RHDF. RHDF representatives said they support investors in projects allowing for expedient time frames in building housing.
