Kommersant-Money ranks UBRD 22nd on list of Russia's 30 largest retail banks

The Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRD) was ranked 22nd on a list of Russia’s top 30 largest retail banks in the Russian Federation.

UBRD ranked No. 1 in volume of deposits for the Sverdlovsk region and was the only bank from the Urals region on the list.

Through Oct. 1, clients deposited nearly $2 billion in UBRD.

The competing banks were required to meet certain minimum qualifications, such as the ratio of deposits to local population.

The list was published by Kommersant-Money magazine. Statisticians who worked on the study came from most of Russia’s retail banks.

The Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development is one of the top 25 Russian retail banks, based on Interfax rankings, with a record of strong financial performance. It has a wide regional network with more than 550 branches in 67 regions of Russia. These branches employ roughly 6,000 employees.
