Ural Federal University (UrFU) officials will unveil a new scholarship opportunity for students and professors in the university’s Magistracy program on Thursday.
The Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation Scholarship will award grants of up to $324 per month for students, while professors can win a one-time grant of $10,810.
A Russian philanthropist and former first vice premier of Russia, Potanin started his foundation to support projects in education and culture.
UrFU is one of the leading educational institutions in the Urals, offering 67 academic programs to more than 50,000 students. It's Magistracy program is based on a two-level model of education, which offers both a bachelor's and master's degree.
Representatives of the foundation will present details of the grant program at 6 p.m. Thursday in the campus’ main building at 19 Mira St.
