Chefs celebrate and compete on International Chefs’ Day

Chefs from around the world recently came together to celebrate International Chefs’ Day at Ural State University.

The event provided an opportunity for chefs to learn from one another and share their knowledge with students while also celebrating the world's various ethnic cuisines. 

In addition to attending master classes, exhibitions and tastings with the chefs, participants entered their own creations in various contest with preliminary judges tasting the food and picking the most unique dishes to advance to the finals.

The most popular event was “The Best Recipe for a Dish of Potatoes," which was won by Alexander Aris, a student at Ural State.

The event was organized by the university's culinary school and Department of Food Technology.
